La obra funciona como un “corte” de terreno: capas oscuras superpuestas, veladuras grises y zonas de arrastre que construyen una atmósfera densa, casi mineral. El interés está en la fricción entre dos lenguajes: por un lado, las manchas acuosas y los barridos horizontales (que dan sensación de sedimentación y tiempo); por otro, los accidentes más físicos —marmoleados, costras y pequeños empastes— que aportan cuerpo y una profundidad real, no solo tonal. El verde turquesa aparece como hallazgo, no como decoración: abre respiraderos en una masa asfixiante y, junto a los rojos puntuales, introduce pulsos de vida en un paisaje de restos.

What remains of an ancient trail

The work functions as a “cut” of terrain: overlapping dark layers, gray glazes, and areas of drag that construct a dense, almost mineral atmosphere. The interest lies in the friction between two languages: on the one hand, the watery stains and horizontal sweeps (which give a sense of sedimentation and time); on the other, the more physical accidents—marbling, crusts, and small fillings—that add body and real depth, not just tonal. The turquoise green appears as a discovery, not as decoration: it opens vents in a suffocating mass and, together with the occasional reds, introduces pulses of life into a landscape of debris.

這件作品如同土地的「剖面」：層疊的暗色層、灰色的朦朧感與拖曳區域，共同構築出濃密、近乎礦物般的氛圍。其魅力在於兩種語言之間的摩擦：一方面是水暈與水平掃掠（營造出沉積與時間感）；另一方面則是更具物理性的意外效果——大理石紋、痂皮與細小填補痕跡——賦予作品實體感與真實深度，而不僅是色調上的深度。青綠色如驚喜般浮現，絕非裝飾性點綴：它在窒息的色塊中開闢出呼吸通道，並與零星的紅色交相輝映，為殘骸般的景觀注入生命脈動。

تعمل القطعة الفنية كـ”قطع“ من الأرض: طبقات داكنة متراكبة، طبقات رمادية شفافة ومناطق جرّ تخلق جواً كثيفاً، شبه معدني. يكمن الاهتمام في التوتر بين لغتين: من ناحية، البقع المائية والخطوط الأفقية (التي تعطي إحساسًا بالترسب والزمن)؛ ومن ناحية أخرى، الحوادث الأكثر جسدية —الرخاميات والقشور والحشوات الصغيرة— التي تضفي جسدًا وعمقًا حقيقيًا، وليس فقط لونيًا. يظهر اللون الأخضر الفيروزي كاكتشاف، وليس كزخرفة: فهو يفتح فتحات تهوية في كتلة خانقة، ويضفي، إلى جانب اللمسات الحمراء المتفرقة، نبضات حياة على مشهد من الحطام.
