La obra se sostiene en una decisión compositiva clara: un gran campo negro, mate y contenido, actúa como silencio activo y encuadra una forma oblicua de materia gris plateada que entra como un bloque inclinado. Esa cuña no “decora” el fondo; lo corta. La arista diagonal, limpia y tensa, organiza la lectura a distancia y convierte el formato en arquitectura, mientras un rectángulo negro inserto en el lateral derecho añade una segunda interrupción, más fría, que refuerza la sensación de plano y profundidad sin recurrir al color.

En la cercanía, el interés está en la piel del núcleo: estratos espatulados, pliegues, raspados y pequeñas grietas de tinta que cosen zonas y generan una topografía irregular. La superficie alterna opacidades y transparencias, con líneas negras que aparecen como nervio y no como gesto gratuito. Los destellos de violeta, turquesa y rojos mínimos quedan enterrados entre capas, como restos, y aportan vibración sin romper la economía tonal. La obra evita el efectismo del caos saturado: aquí la intensidad viene de la relación entre borde y materia, entre plano quieto y relieve trabajado, y de una edición que mantiene jerarquía y respiración. Dentro del abstracto actual, destaca por su control y por convertir la “noche” en estructura, no en atmósfera fácil.

Trace of a nocturnal memory

The work is based on a clear compositional decision: a large black field, matte and restrained, acts as active silence and frames an oblique form of silvery gray matter that enters as an inclined block. That wedge does not “decorate” the background; it cuts it. The clean, taut diagonal edge organizes the reading from a distance and turns the format into architecture, while a black rectangle inserted on the right side adds a second, colder interruption that reinforces the sense of plane and depth without resorting to color.

Up close, the interest lies in the skin of the core: spatula-like strata, folds, scrapes, and small cracks of ink that stitch areas together and generate an irregular topography. The surface alternates between opacity and transparency, with black lines that appear as nerves rather than gratuitous gestures. The flashes of violet, turquoise, and minimal reds are buried between layers, like remnants, and add vibration without breaking the tonal economy. The work avoids the sensationalism of saturated chaos: here the intensity comes from the relationship between edge and matter, between flat plane and worked relief, and from an editing that maintains hierarchy and breathing space. Within current abstract art, it stands out for its control and for turning “night” into structure, not easy atmosphere.

تستند العمل إلى قرار تركيبي واضح: حقل أسود كبير، غير لامع ومحتوى، يعمل كصمت نشط ويحيط بشكل مائل من المادة الرمادية الفضية التي تدخل ككتلة مائلة. هذا الإسفين لا ”يزين“ الخلفية؛ بل يقطعها. الحافة المائلة، النظيفة والمتوترة، تنظم القراءة عن بعد وتحول الشكل إلى هندسة معمارية، بينما يضيف مستطيل أسود مدرج في الجانب الأيمن انقطاعًا ثانيًا، أكثر برودة، يعزز الإحساس بالسطحية والعمق دون اللجوء إلى اللون.

عند الاقتراب، ينصب الاهتمام على سطح النواة: طبقات مسطحة، طيات، خدوش وصغيرة شقوق حبرية تخيط المناطق وتولد تضاريس غير منتظمة. تتناوب السطح بين التعتيم والشفافية، مع خطوط سوداء تظهر كأعصاب وليس كإيماءات مجانية. تظل ومضات اللون البنفسجي والفيروزي والأحمر الضئيلة مدفونة بين الطبقات، كبقايا، وتضفي اهتزازًا دون كسر التوازن اللوني. تتجنب العمل الفني الإثارة المفرطة للفوضى المشبعة: هنا تأتي الكثافة من العلاقة بين الحافة والمادة، بين المستوى الثابت والنقش المنحوت، ومن تحرير يحافظ على التسلسل الهرمي والتنفس. ضمن الفن التجريدي الحالي، يبرز هذا العمل بفضل تحكمه وتحويله ”الليل“ إلى بنية، وليس إلى جو سهل.
