En esta pieza, la imagen se sostiene sobre una base cálida (ocres y arenas) trabajada a veladuras, que deja respirar el soporte y aporta una luz de fondo constante. Sobre ese “clima” se despliegan chorreos verticales y trazos largos, como cañas o raíces en suspensión: introducen dirección y tiempo sin caer en un gesto ansioso. La materia negra y azul, a ratos densa y a ratos lavada, forma cuerpos orgánicos que se conectan por nudos y ramificaciones; entre ellos aparecen punteos, celdillas, raspados finos y pequeñas explosiones de tinta.

A distancia, la jerarquía funciona: un eje central ancla la mirada y, alrededor, una red de presencias más leves evita la saturación. In this piece, the image is held on a warm base (ochres and sands) worked with glazes, which allows the support to breathe and provides a constant background light. Against this “backdrop,” vertical drips and long strokes unfold, like reeds or roots in suspension: they introduce direction and time without falling into an anxious gesture. The black and blue material, at times dense and at times washed out, forms organic bodies connected by knots and branches; between them appear dots, cells, fine scrapes, and small explosions of ink.

From a distance, the hierarchy works: a central axis anchors the gaze, and around it, a network of lighter presences prevents saturation. The alternation between dark mass and light fields creates real depth (layers, drags, and transparencies) and reinforces the idea of “still” movement, as if everything were happening underwater or within a luminous sediment.

The best: consistency of palette, well-controlled verticality, and rich materiality without excess.
