La obra se articula por estratos que parecen sedimentarse: una masa superior gris-ocre, turbia y pesada, cae sobre un cuerpo central de blancos espesos, agrietados y plegados, como costra. Esa zona clara no es plana: tiene relieve, cortes y bordes replegados donde el esmalte se acumula y deja huella táctil. Abajo, el cuadro cambia de temperatura: aparecen veladuras aguadas con turquesas, magentas y rojos, atravesadas por una franja negra con “células” blancas que abre cavidades y fija una línea de tensión, casi como un horizonte contaminado.

A distancia funciona por contraste de pesos (humo arriba, materia sólida en el centro, filtraciones de color abajo) y por una jerarquía relativamente clara. De cerca recompensa: se leen coladas, reservas, zonas de tinta que se expanden en abanico y transiciones donde el color queda atrapado bajo capas lechosas, generando profundidad real.

Light defeats dust

The work is articulated by layers that seem to settle: a thick, heavy, gray-ochre upper mass falls onto a central body of thick, cracked, and folded whites, like a crust. This light area is not flat: it has relief, cuts, and folded edges where the enamel accumulates and leaves a tactile mark. Below, the painting changes temperature: watery glazes appear in turquoise, magenta, and red, crossed by a black stripe with white “cells” that opens cavities and fixes a line of tension, almost like a polluted horizon.

From a distance, it works by contrast of weights (smoke above, solid matter in the center, color seepage below) and by a relatively clear hierarchy. Up close, it rewards: you can see drips, reserves, areas of ink that fan out, and transitions where color is trapped under milky layers, creating real depth.

光戰勝塵埃

作品由似沉積的層次構成：上層灰褐色塊體渾濁厚重，如痂般覆蓋著中央厚實、龜裂且摺疊的白色核心。這片明亮區域並非平坦：其表面具浮雕質感，摺痕與邊緣處釉料堆積，留下可觸摸的痕跡。下方畫面的色調轉變：淡雅的靛藍、洋紅與紅色暈染層浮現，其間橫貫一道黑色條帶，其上的白色「細胞」形成空洞，劃定一條張力線，宛如受污染的地平線。

遠觀時，作品透過重量對比（上方的煙霧、中央的固體物質、下方的色彩滲透）與相對清晰的層次結構發揮效果。近觀則更顯精妙：可辨識出流淌痕跡、保留區域、扇形擴散的墨色區域，以及色彩被乳白色層層包裹的過渡地帶，營造出真實的深度感。

الضوء يهزم الغبار

يتكون العمل من طبقات تبدو وكأنها ترسبات: كتلة علوية رمادية-أصفر مائلة إلى البني، عكرة وثقيلة، تسقط على جسم مركزي من اللون الأبيض السميك، متشقق ومطوي، مثل القشرة. هذه المنطقة الفاتحة ليست مسطحة: فهي تحتوي على نتوءات، قطع وحواف مطوية حيث يتراكم المينا ويترك أثراً ملموساً. في الأسفل، يتغير لون اللوحة: تظهر طبقات مائية باللون الفيروزي والأحمر والأرجواني، تقطعها شريط أسود به ”خلايا“ بيضاء تفتح تجاويف وتحدد خط توتر، تقريبًا كأفق ملوث.

من بعيد، يعمل التباين في الأوزان (الدخان في الأعلى، المادة الصلبة في الوسط، التسربات اللونية في الأسفل) وبتسلسل هرمي واضح نسبيًا. من قرب، يمنحك مكافأة: يمكنك قراءة التسربات، والمخزونات، ومناطق الحبر التي تتوسع على شكل مروحة، والانتقالات حيث يظل اللون محبوسًا تحت طبقات حليبية، مما يولد عمقًا حقيقيًا.
